Support to public investment management efficiency in Tunisia

The purpose of this study was to give a support in the area of measuring the impact of public investment projects, especially at the regional/local level and monitoring and evaluating public investment projects. The project was based on the following activities:

  • prepare the PIM diagnostic using the Rajaram et al. 2010 framework. The diagnostic will present and share the global experience on public investment reforms.
  • assist Government in developing an operational plan of action to strengthen PIM systems and policies in the short- and medium-term based on the findings of the diagnostic.The plan will be developed in close consultation with the main stakeholders.
  • carry out a week-long training for government officials on the methodologies of public project impact evaluation.
