Francesca Guadagno started collaborating with CSIL in 2020. She works as a senior researcher on innovation and new technologies, innovation and industrial policy, global value chains, and smart specialisation strategies.
She has experience in drafting reports and literature reviews on topics related to innovation and industrial dynamics, and in analysing a wide variety of data, including on socio-economic indicators, scientific publications, and patents. She has several years of professional experience with international organisations such as WIPO, UNCTAD, and UNIDO, and has worked as a consultant for the E15 Initiative, the Asian Development Bank, and the International Growth Centre of the LSE, among others.
She holds a PhD in Innovation Studies and Development from UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University (the Netherlands), a Master of Economics and Management of Innovation from Bocconi University in Milan and a second Master of Management of Innovation from the Rotterdam School of Management (the Netherlands).
