ICT and developing countries

The objective of this study was to gain an insight of the impact of ICT technologies in reducing poverty and inequality in low and middle-income countries to guide future EU interventions into this area. A specific focus was on the use of ICT in the health sector in order to document the potential use of ICTs in helping the poor accessing to and benefiting from healthcare services.  An online survey to relevant stakeholders in the field was carried out. Final results were presented during STOA Panel Meeting on Science and Technology Options Assessment held in Strasbourg on October, 29th 2015 at 9.30 AM. Click here for more info.
