Support for the stakeholder consultation process for preparing the Transition Pathway for the Textiles Ecosystem

CSIL is part of the consortium supporting the European Commission in the implementation of the Transition Pathway for the Textiles Ecosystem. This initiative is aligned with the strategic actions outlined in the Transition Pathway published in 2023.

The main objective is to develop and manage an EU-wide digital platform that empowers stakeholders across the textiles value chain with access to the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to drive the green and digital transitions, improve resilience, and enhance competitiveness.

CSIL contributes to the project by:

  • Co-designing and managing content for the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform, supporting its role as a central hub for ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Creating and moderating content on policies, funding opportunities, and innovation priorities relevant to the textiles ecosystem.
  • Fostering community engagement and knowledge-sharing, through news updates, event promotion, and collaboration tools available on the platform.
  • Managing the platform’s community workspace on “Competitive and Innovative Supply Chains”, focusing on driving innovation, sustainability, transparency, and collaboration across the textiles value chain.
  • Collecting and analysing stakeholder pledges to track progress toward sustainability goals and to highlight concrete, replicable practices.
  • Promoting synergies with related EU initiatives, such as the Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the EU Pact for Skills.

The EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform is designed as an evolving, user-friendly space for collaboration, where stakeholders can explore opportunities, connect with peers, and take collective action toward a more sustainable, innovative, and resilient textiles sector.
