Alessandro Sterlacchini is a Full Professor of Applied Economics at the “G. Fuà” Faculty of Economics of the University Politecnica of Marche, where he teaches microeconomics and economics of innovation at graduate and postgraduate levels. He is also the president of the Italian Society for Industrial Economics and Policy.
He specialises in the economics of innovation, focusing on the determinants and economic effects of R&D, patents, knowledge, and innovation.
He holds a PhD in Economics and a degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Ancona.
He also has a Master in Science, Technology and Industrialisation from the University of Sussex (UK).
