Update of the Guide to Cost Benefit Analysis of EU Investment Projects

January 2014,

cover CBA guide

CSIL experts are currently updating the Guide to Cost Benefit Analysis of EU Investment Projects, on behalf of the European Commission, Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy.

The updated CBA Guide will incorporate the new developments of the EU policies (e.g. EU 2020 Strategy, climate change, etc.) and the provisions of the new Common Provisions Regulation under which Major Projects will be co-financed during the 2014-2020 programming period. Content and layout of the guide will be reviewed to ensure the new guidance focusses on practical advice by supplementing the methodological provisions with good practices and frequent errors, case studies, acceptable simplifications and deviations from general rules. Sectors not already covered, or not fully covered, such as ICT and research and innovation, will be also developed.
