CSIL experts realise a study on Territorial Agenda 2020
The European Commission, Directorate Regional and Urban Policy, Inclusive Growth, Urban and Territorial Development and Northern Europe, has selected CSIL in order to realise a study on ‘Territorial Agenda 2020 put in practice – enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Cohesion Policy by a place-based approach’. A kick-off meeting took place in Brussels on January 22nd to launch the study. For the purpose of this study, CSIL experts have selected 50 good-practices across EU28 Member States in terms of place-based-approach. For each proposed good-practice, a summary fiche with key information and reasons for its selection has been prepared and submitted to the European Commission. The next step will be the identification of 20-24 case studies. Once the final list of cases is decided country experts will develop the case studies with on-the-field and desk activity. Pilot case studies for the Apulia (IT) and Terassa (ES) projects are currently under preparation by CSIL experts in order to test the methodology.
