Anna Giunta

She is Full Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Rome 3 and member of CSIL Scientific Committee. She has a Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (1986). She has taught courses of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Firm Theory, Italian Economy at graduate and postgraduate level. She is member of the Rossi Doria Association Board and Rivista Economica del Mezzogiorno scientific committee. She has been scientific supervisor and coordinated several research groups working for organizations such as the: Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance; the Italian Ministry of Industry; Capitalia Research Department, Svimez and she has been involved in several projects on behalf of the European Commission. For example, she has been appointed by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance as member of an independent expert group on regional policy in Southern Italy and as "senior expert", she contributed to the Ex post evaluation of cohesion policy programmes 2000-2006 co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund Work Package 4 - Structural change and globalization. Her current research interests include: firms in global value chains; firms' organization and internationalisation; firms' boundaries and ICT; firms' growth; industrial and regional innovation policy evaluation. She has long tracking record of publications on issues such as competition, internationalization, global chain and ICT. Her recent publications include "Being in a global value chain: hell or heaven?" (voeu.org, 2012) "Understanding the determinants of information technology adoption: evidence from Italian manufacturing firms" (Applied Economics, 2008). Finally, Anna is member of the Rossi Doria Association Board and RivistaEconomica del Mezzogiorno scientific committee.

She got a Master of Arts in Economics at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in Development Economics at the Centro di Ricerche e Specializzazione Economico-Agrarie per il Mezzogiorno, Portici, Naples.

She teaches courses of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Firm Theory, Italian Economy Industrial Economics, at graduate and post graduate level.

She is co-editor of QA – Rivista dell'Associazione Rossi-Doria, Franco Angeli Publisher. She is member of the Rossi-Doria Association Board, Rivista Economica del Mezzogiorno, Meridiana  scientific committees.

She has coordinated several research groups and has been consultant to organizations such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Industry, Capitalia Research Department, Svimez.

Her current research are: Firms' organization and intemationalisation; Industrial policy analysis and evaluation; Regional economics; Civil aeronautics sector and firm's organization; Automotive sector and firm's organization.
