Patrizia Scarzella

Associate Expert

Patrizia Scarzella is an Associate Expert of CSIL.

An architect and a journalist, she has developed considerable experience as communication and design manager for important Italian design brands such as Arflex, Zanotta and Parà Tempotest.

Her research activity in the design field includes innovative communication and trends projects for clients like Alessi, Flou, Magis, Habitat, Federlegno, Saint-Gobain Glass, the Thai Ministry of Commerce, etc.

Her activity as a journalist started as editor of Domus in the 1980s and includes collaboration with international design and lifestyle magazines such as Interni, Frame, Vogue Nippon and Surface USA.

Authoress of numerous design books, she has also been curator of many international design exhibitions and has held seminars and workshops on design at universities in Italy, Germany, Estonia, the USA, India, Japan and Thailand.

She has been a lecturer on the Industrial Design Course at La Sapienza University, Rome, and is currently contract teacher at the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa.
