Massimo Florio

Massimo Florio is the President of the Scientific Committee and founder of CSIL, Centre for Industrial Studies. He is one of the leading European experts in regional development and evaluation research and he has a very strong knowledge of EU policies.

He is currently Professor of Economics of European Integration (Jean Monnet Chair), University of Milan and Head, Department of Economics. His research interests include regional development economics, welfare economics, public investment appraisal, privatization and regulation, growth of public expenditures, small business economics.

He is the author of the Guide to Cost-Benefit Analysis of Investment Projects adopted by the European Commission, DG Regional Policy, where he has more than 15 years of experience as an advisor.
